About the New Jersey Devils

The New Jersey Devils franchise began in 1974 as the Kansas City Scouts. The team moved to Colorado in 1976 as the Rockies and then to New Jersey in 1982, where it became the Devils.

New Jersey has won three Stanley Cups, in 1995, 2000 and 2003. Martin Brodeur, Patrik Elias, Scott Stevens and Scott Niedermayer are among the franchise's greatest players.

In 2022-23, the Devils had the best regular season in team history with 52 wins and 112 points. They beat the New York Rangers in seven games in the first round before losing to the Carolina Hurricanes.

The Devils play at Prudential Center in Newark, which has a hockey capacity of 16,514. The team has played there since 2007, after moving from the arena in East Rutherford.
